NRSWA New Roads and Streetworks Act Renewal Training

Anyone that holds a SWQR (Streetworks Qualification Register) will be required to be reassessed every 5 years for professional competence. The NRSWA new roads and streetworks act training renewal course is a knowledge based test, which is a multiple choice test that reassesses the worker’s knowledge of the Streetworks units they already hold.

The candidate must undertake one question paper per unit, with 10 questions per unit and an allocated time of 30 minutes per paper. The pass mark for all reassessed tests is 80% (8 of the 10 questions correct). At the end of the day there will be an opportunity for delegates to re-sit up to 2 assessment papers, should they fail the required pass mark on their first attempt.

All questions must be completed by the candidate and cannot be discussed with the other candidates. The test can only be undertaken in the English language as there is no facility to use interpreters.

Once complete, the applicant must then register the certificate within 6 months of the expiry of their previous registration. If they fail to do this in the required time, they must retake each unit in full to complete their re-registration with SWQR.

Any NRSWA new road and streetworks act training renewal courses, we must:

Validate the identity of the candidate with photographic identification

Validate the candidate holds a current Street works card
